Our Day at This Morning Live 2019

*We were given press passes to the event, but all thoughts and words are honest and my own opinion*

I have always been a fan of  This Morning, I even chatted with Suzy Bennett about our love of it on my Podcast. There is no other show on TV that can handle the right balance of hard hitting, real life stories, slotted between some real laugh out loud or WTF moments.

Even if you've never actually sat down and watched the show, you will have no doubt seen clips of Holly and Phil's famous laughing fits, Gino D'Acampo causing a stir with his kitchen innuendos, or that infamous time they presented the show after partying all night following an NTAs win. Sometimes, when I'm feeling sad, I just watch This Morning funny videos on YouTube to make myself laugh!

When everyone's favourite daytime TV show was brought to life in front of it's fans, live at the Birmingham NEC, we were lucky enough to be there! This Morning Live is the ultimate lifestyle event that offers shopping, beauty and food, as well as book signings and live shows with all of your favourite This Morning presenters.

The event was on from Thursday to Sunday, with loads of different shows and guests on each of the different days. Holly and Phil were there Thursday and Friday, with Eamon and Ruth taking over for the weekend.

Holly & Phil on Centre Stage

Holly & Phil brought This Morning to life in front of a 2000 strong crowd on the Center Stage throughout the day. It was crazy to see them so close up, doing what they do best. They were joined on stage by 2 of their NTA trophies, and the famous sofas.

They casually chatted about some behind the scenes stuff and had a box of props to remind us of some of our favourite moments from the show. It was so interesting to watch them watching clips of themselves and seeing them laugh along with us. Every moment they were on stage they just proved why they really are 2 of the best in the business, and loved so much by the British public.

They also hosted meet and greets where fans got to get a selfie with them on the set, but sadly we didn't have tickets for that.

Half way through their show, the amazing Alison Hammond burst on to the stage and was broadcasting live on actual This Morning on ITV! I watched it back on the ITV Hub and you can very clearly hear my whistling, so technically I have been on This Morning, haha!

The This Morning Cabin

As we were walking around the extensive range of lifestyle stores, we spotted the This Morning Cabin, and a crowd gathering around it. It is a big competition prize that they have been giving away on the daytime TV shows, that had been sent up as a demo.

Stood in front of the cabin when we got there was none other than Joe Swash, with an auto-cue, camera and lots of crew near by. I had a feeling that something was about to go down, so we hung around and watched what unfolded.

It turned out that he was about to do a live link on Loose Women. I am a massive TV and Radio Geek, so love to see any behind the scenes stuff.

Guess what? We only went and ended up being seen in the crowd on the telly! I mean, blink and you'll miss it, but you can clearly see us there (thanks to my red circle!)

The ITV Village

It wasn't just This Morning that was given the live treatment! The ITV village was there with a few photo opportunities, like The Rovers bar from Coronation Street, the Love Island Fire Pit, Emmerdale Sign, and I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Bushtucker set up.

The queue was huge for I'm a Celeb, but we got behind the Corrie bar and the Emmerdale Sign!

Famous Faces

I love seeing famous faces in the flesh, and most recently met some of my favourite chefs, Tom Kerridge and Michael Canes.

Alison Hammond is one of my favourite people and presenters, so I was very happy to be able to meet her, all be it very briefly!

She lights up any room that she's in, and has the warmest of personalities. Just search 'Alison Hammon interviews...' on Youtube, if you want to be entertained!

I've had my eye on Dr Ranj's new cookbook for a little bit, so was excited to make it to his book signing and get myself a signed copy. He was really lovely.

Jack Fincham from Love Island was at the This Morning Cabin, and looked amazing! It was in the paper the day after we saw him that he had lost 2 stone in recent months!

This is my pathetic attempt at a selfie with him!!

Joe Swash came pretty close to us as well, but sadly not close enough for an actual selfie.

The other celebs that were around on the day that we went, but didn't get to see, were The Speakmans, John Torode and more.

And finally, The Goodie Bag

We got a little press goodie bag, and won the ITV Cups in the ITV Village. I love the flip flops from Green & Pink, and the cute Darwin Escapes Bear.

It was a great day out, with lot's to see and do. My only disappointment was that the tickets we had were not for the day that Rylan Clarke-Neal was there, as I am such a huge fan of him!

Check out their website for more info about next years show as it's released!
