Cheese & Bacon Soldiers Recipe For Soft Boiled Eggs

I wouldn't really call this a recipe, more a simple method to make a delicious breakfast! If you love dippy eggs and soldiers, then this dish is for you! Take your soldiers to the next level, by topping them with cheese and crispy bacon.

I used Schär Gluten Free White Ciabattas and used it as my Healthy Extra B, topped with 40g of extra light cheese as a Healthy Extra A.

For the bacon bits, I just fried off some bacon medallions and then cut them up into small chunks to put on top of the soldiers.

How long to boil the eggs for?

I used to struggle with  boiling eggs, always getting the timings wrong and ending up with either a raw egg, or overcooked egg. So here is the ultimate egg boiling times:

Soft Boiled Eggs

 6-7 minutes

Hard Boiled Eggs

12-14 minutes

The softer the egg, the better it is for dipping! I got these lovely egg cups for Christmas this year, and love making the most out of them.

You could use any kind of bread you wanted for this recipe, like a healthier wholemeal bread.
