One of the best things about Slimming World is the fact that pasta is a free food. Pasta can be used as the base of so many great dishes, that can all be optimised to be syn free.

Creamy Chicken, Bacon and Tomato Pasta Bake  

A classic and delicious pasta favourite of mine is a creamy tomato chicken pasta bake. For this dish I used both chicken and bacon, with lots of speed veg. 

This dish served 4, but I make it up to be this size so I have enough for lunches for the next few days.

Slow Cooker Greek Chicken

Creamy Chicken, Bacon & Tomato Pasta Bake Recipe

You will need:

400g diced skinless chicken breast
6 bacon medallions, cubed up
1 red pepper, sliced
1 onion finely diced
Handful of mushrooms, sliced
Handful of cherry tomatoes, halved
1 carton of passata
2 tbsp quark
1 garlic clove, minced
Pinch salt and pepper
1 tsp Italian herbs 
400g dried pasta
35g cheddar cheese per quarter 


Preheat oven to gas mark 6, 200°C, fan 180°C

Spray a frying pan with low calorie cooking spray

Turn the heat to medium and add the chicken and fry off to seal.  Add the bacon and fry for 3 mins.

Meanwhile, boil the pasta as per packet instructions.

When the chicken and bacon has cooked, remove from the pan and set aside.   Add the veggies to the frying pan and stir fry.

Add the passata, garlic, salt, pepper and Italian herbs to the veg mix and stir well.

Add the chicken and bacon back into the pan and mix well.

Pour the cooked pasta into a large oven proof dish.  Top with the s passat, chicken and bacon mix and stir until everything is mixed well.

Bake for 20 mins, then removed and stir through the quark. Took with cheese then bake for a further 10 mins, or until cheese is bubbling.
