A vibrant one-tray garlic and lemon chicken bake packed with new potatoes, peppers, red onion, leeks, cherry tomatoes, and black olives. Perfect for meal prepping on weeknight cooking!

If you’ve been here a while, you’ll know I’m all about delicious food that feels indulgent but is actually simple and lighter to make. This one-tray garlic and lemon chicken bake is the perfect example — it’s full of colour, flavour and texture, yet uses everyday ingredients you probably already have at home.

Tender pieces of chicken marinated in fat-free Greek yogurt, garlic and smoked paprika turn golden and juicy in the oven, while all the veggies roast together underneath to soak up those amazing Mediterranean flavours.

It’s one of those easy chicken tray bake recipes you can throw together after a long day and still end up with something that looks and tastes like you’ve made a real effort. I love the mix of new potatoes, leeks, peppers, red onion, cherry tomatoes and black olives — everything roasts beautifully, creating a gorgeous caramelised edge and a zesty lemon kick.

The creamy Greek yogurt marinade keeps the chicken moist while adding a tangy richness without any added fat or fuss.

One-Tray Garlic & Lemon Chicken Bake Recipe

Creamy chicken & broccoli pasta salad with roasted garlic, feta & Greek yoghurt sauce — a healthy, high-protein meal prep favourite

If you’re after an easy, healthy pasta salad that’s packed with flavour, this Chicken and Broccoli Pasta Salad with Creamy Garlic and Feta Sauce is the perfect choice. It’s simple to make, full of protein, and ideal for take-to-work lunches or meal prep.

The combination of tender chicken, finely diced raw broccoli, and a smooth, tangy roasted garlic and feta dressing makes this salad both light and satisfying.

What makes this recipe stand out is the creamy garlic and feta sauce. Roasted garlic gives it a deep, mellow flavour, while low-fat Greek yoghurt and a touch of mayo create a rich, creamy texture without being heavy.

The feta adds a lovely salty kick that pairs beautifully with the fresh crunch of raw broccoli and the mild sweetness of red onion. It’s a flavour combination that feels indulgent but still fits perfectly into a balanced diet.

This high-protein pasta salad is not only delicious but also really practical. It can be made ahead of time, stored in the fridge for a few days, and eaten cold — making it perfect for busy days when you need something quick and nourishing.

You can pack it into lunch boxes, take it on picnics, or enjoy it as a quick dinner after work.

If you love healthy, easy recipes that taste amazing and help you stay on track, this Chicken and Broccoli Pasta Salad is one you’ll want to make again and again.

It’s proof that wholesome food can be both convenient and completely crave-worthy.

Creamy One Pan Sausage & Mustard Pasta Recipe | Easy Weeknight Meal

Creamy one-pan sausage and mustard pasta — a quick, slimming-friendly comfort meal packed with flavour, easy to make, and perfect for busy weeknights.

There’s nothing better than a hearty, creamy pasta dish that tastes like pure comfort, and this One Pan Creamy Sausage and Mustard Pasta is exactly that. It’s rich, flavourful, and feels a little bit indulgent, yet it’s made with lighter ingredients and comes together easily in just one pan. Less washing up, more flavour,  that’s always a win in my book!

This dish has quickly become one of my go-to easy midweek dinners. It’s the kind of meal that feels special enough for a weekend but simple enough to throw together after a busy day. You start by frying up onions, peppers, mushrooms and garlic until they’re beautifully soft and fragrant.

Creamy One Pan Sausage & Mustard Pasta Recipe | Easy Weeknight Meal

Then in go the sausages, golden, sizzling, and adding loads of flavour to the base. The best part? The pasta cooks right in the pan with everything else, soaking up all those gorgeous flavours in a deliciously rich stock.

Once the pasta is perfectly tender, you stir through a spoonful of reduced-fat crème fraîche along with Dijon and wholegrain mustard for that tangy kick. The result is a creamy, smoky, mustardy sauce that coats every bite of rigatoni, comfort food perfection.

A sprinkle of cheese melted under the grill finishes it off with that irresistible golden top.

This creamy sausage pasta recipe is ideal for families, meal prep, or anyone looking for a quick, one-pan dinner that feels satisfying without being heavy. It’s budget-friendly too, making it a brilliant option for feeding a crowd or using up whatever sausages you have in the fridge.

Creamy One Pan Sausage & Mustard Pasta Recipe | Easy Weeknight Meal

You can swap the sausages for chicken or veggie ones, add in extra veggies like spinach or courgette, or use wholewheat pasta for a higher fibre option.

Not only is it simple and delicious, but this slimming-friendly pasta recipe also proves you don’t have to miss out on comfort food while keeping things balanced. The creamy texture and punchy mustard flavour make it feel far more indulgent than it really is and that’s exactly the kind of food I love sharing!

So, if you’re after an easy, family-friendly recipe that’s full of flavour, comforting, and made all in one pan, this Creamy Sausage and Mustard Pasta will definitely hit the spot.

One Pan Cheesy Bacon & Broccoli Pasta Recipe

Creamy, cheesy, and slimming-friendly, this One-Pan Bacon & Broccoli Pasta is the perfect quick midweek meal. Made with simple ingredients, minimal washing up, and packed with flavour — ready in under 25 minutes!

If there’s one thing I love, it’s a meal that feels indulgent but still fits perfectly into a balanced, slimming-friendly lifestyle, and this One-Pan Bacon & Broccoli Pasta is exactly that.

It’s rich, creamy, and full of comforting flavours, yet it all comes together in a single pan with minimal fuss and barely any washing up. This is one of those dishes that proves you don’t need loads of fancy ingredients or hours in the kitchen to make something that tastes absolutely amazing.

One Pan Cheesy Bacon & Broccoli Pasta Recipe

This recipe has become one of my weeknight go-tos because it’s so simple, filling, and family-friendly. The magic really happens when the pasta cooks right in the pan with the broccoli and just enough boiling water to cover it. There’s no need to drain anything — the pasta absorbs all that starchy water, which helps create the silkiest, creamiest sauce when you add the cheese and seasonings later. It’s a total game changer for quick dinners!

The combination of crispy bacon, creamy cheese, and tender broccoli gives this dish a perfect balance of savoury, smoky, and fresh flavours. Using low-fat cream cheese and reduced-fat cheddar keeps it light while still delivering that rich, cheesy taste we all crave.

I’ve also added a touch of smoked paprika, garlic granules, and mustard powder to give it a subtle warmth and depth of flavour that takes it to the next level.

One Pan Cheesy Bacon & Broccoli Pasta Recipe

Another reason I love this recipe is that it’s incredibly versatile. You can swap the broccoli for other veg you have in the fridge — peas, spinach, or even some roasted peppers would all work beautifully. It’s also great for meal prep; leftovers reheat really well for lunch the next day (if there are any left!).

And let’s be honest — anything that saves on washing up is a winner in my book. One pan, no draining, and dinner on the table in under 25 minutes? Yes please. This is proper comfort food made simple.

So if you’re after an easy, creamy pasta dish that feels like a hug in a bowl but still keeps things light, this One-Pan Bacon & Broccoli Pasta is definitely one to add to your list. Quick, tasty, and packed with flavour — this is the kind of everyday meal that makes healthy eating feel like a treat.

Marry Me Meatballs Recipe | One Pan Wonder

These Marry Me Meatballs are rich, creamy, and full of flavour and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser! Juicy beef meatballs simmered in a dreamy sun-dried tomato and parmesan cream sauce.

Scroll down for the full recipe and instructions!

If you’ve been on social media lately, you’ve probably seen Marry Me Chicken taking over everyone’s feed. That creamy, garlicky, sun-dried tomato dish that’s said to be so good, it could make someone pop the question after one bite!

My Marry Me Halloumi went crazy viral when I first shared it!

The idea is simple: it’s rich, comforting, and packed with so much flavour that it feels like pure love on a plate. And honestly, I’m completely obsessed with the whole Marry Me concept — food so good it makes people fall in love (yes please!).

Marry Me Meatballs Recipe | One Pan Wonder

So, I had to give it my own Sugar Pink Food twist… and that’s how these Marry Me Meatballs were born. Instead of the classic chicken, I’ve gone for juicy beef meatballs with grated onion for extra flavour and chopped sun-dried tomatoes mixed right in.

They get beautifully browned before being simmered in the dreamiest, creamy parmesan sauce that’s full of garlic, spinach, and smoky paprika. It’s the ultimate comfort food — hearty, a little indulgent, and totally worth making any night of the week.

What I really love about this kind of recipe is how versatile it is. You can use whatever mince you prefer — beef, pork, turkey, or even a lean chicken mince to keep it lighter. Want to make it vegetarian? Swap the meatballs for veggie ones or even roasted chickpeas or lentil balls.

ou can use reduced-fat cream or crème fraîche instead of full cream, and light parmesan or hard cheese alternatives to bring the calories down a bit without losing that gorgeous flavour.

And don’t be afraid to play around with the seasonings either! Add chilli flakes for a little kick, stir through some fresh basil or parsley for extra freshness, or even throw in some mushrooms if you fancy a bit more texture. The sauce is so forgiving, it’ll still come out rich, creamy, and delicious every single time.

This is one of those dishes that feels a bit fancy but is actually super easy to make, perfect for a date night dinner, a family meal, or even a cosy night in when you just want to spoil yourself. Because honestly, who needs a marriage proposal when you’ve got a bowl of these Marry Me Meatballs waiting for you?

Hot Honey Roast Potatoes Recipe

Delicious Hot Honey Roast Potatoes are a spicy, sweet twist on a classic roastie!

I don’t back myself on many things, but when it comes to roast potatoes, I know I make a pretty excellent batch. They’re golden, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, and packed with flavour in every bite. These Hot Honey Roast Potatoes are my latest obsession – a sweet and spicy twist on the classic that takes comfort food to a whole new level. They also go perfectly with my Hot Honey Cheesy Leeks!

These aren’t a “healthy” version, and honestly, that’s part of the joy. Sometimes you just need a proper treat – the kind of dish that makes everyone at the table go quiet for a moment before saying, “Oh wow, these are amazing.” Life’s all about balance, and these potatoes are pure happiness on a plate.

Check out my healthy low-fat roast potatoes recipe here!

Hot Honey Roast Potatoes Recipe

The secret to the perfect roast potato starts with boiling them just right. I like to add a few garlic cloves to the water for extra flavour, then sprinkle a little flour before roasting to get those crisp, crunchy edges. A drizzle of hot honey at the end gives them a sticky, golden glaze that’s both sweet and fiery. It’s the ultimate finishing touch that makes these potatoes completely irresistible.

Hot Honey Roast Potatoes Recipe

Hot honey might sound fancy, but it’s really simple – just honey with a hint of chilli. It works beautifully with roast potatoes because it adds a subtle heat that cuts through the richness of the butter and oil. The result is that perfect balance of crispy, sweet and spicy that keeps you going back for “just one more.”

Whether you’re cooking a Sunday roast, a midweek comfort dinner, or a festive feast, these Hot Honey Roast Potatoes will steal the show. They’re not light or diet-friendly, but they are full of flavour, satisfaction and joy – and we all deserve a treat like that now and again.

Hot Honey Roast Potatoes Recipe

Hot Honey Cheesy Leeks Recipe side dish idea

Creamy, cheesy leeks with a drizzle of hot honey for the perfect sweet and spicy twist. A simple, comforting side dish that’s full of flavour.

If you’re looking for a simple but luxurious side dish that’s packed with flavour, these Hot Honey Cheesy Leeks are an absolute winner.

They combine tender, buttery leeks with a creamy homemade cheese sauce and a drizzle of sweet and spicy hot honey. The result is a dish that’s rich, comforting and just a little bit addictive. It’s the perfect balance of savoury, sweet and heat, and it makes even the most humble leek feel special.

Leeks are a staple in many British kitchens, and for good reason. They’re affordable, versatile and full of flavour. When cooked slowly, they become beautifully soft and mild, pairing perfectly with creamy sauces and melted cheese. In this recipe, they’re gently sautéed until tender, then coated in a smooth, velvety cheese sauce made from just butter, flour and milk.

A touch of hot honey brings everything together, adding a gentle kick that cuts through the richness of the cheese.

Making this dish from scratch is much easier than it sounds. The cheese sauce takes just a few minutes to prepare and uses simple ingredients you probably already have at home. You can use any cheese you like, but a mature cheddar gives it that deep, savoury flavour that works perfectly with the sweetness of the honey. If you prefer a stronger kick, try mixing in a few chilli flakes or using a spicier hot honey.

These Hot Honey Cheesy Leeks are perfect as a side dish for roast chicken, pork or beef, but they’re also delicious served on toast for a quick, comforting lunch. If you want to take it a step further, pop the dish under the grill or in the oven until the top turns golden and bubbling. It’s simple, hearty and guaranteed to impress.

This recipe is ideal for anyone looking to elevate their weeknight meals with something a little different. It’s also a great way to use up leeks when they’re in season. With its creamy texture, sweet-spicy glaze and comforting flavour, this dish proves that vegetables can absolutely be the star of the show.

Whether you’re cooking for family, friends or just yourself, Hot Honey Cheesy Leeks are sure to become a new favourite.

What Is Hot Honey and Why I Love It

Hot honey is exactly what it sounds like – honey infused with chilli or a touch of heat. It has the perfect balance of sweetness and spice, adding a fiery twist to both savoury and sweet dishes. You can buy it ready-made from most supermarkets now, or easily make your own at home by gently warming honey with a pinch of chilli flakes or a splash of hot sauce.

I absolutely love hot honey because it’s such a simple way to elevate a dish. A drizzle can completely transform flavours, cutting through richness while adding that irresistible sticky sweetness. It works beautifully with cheese, roasted vegetables, fried chicken, or even drizzled over pizza. In this recipe, the hot honey pairs perfectly with the creamy cheese sauce and tender leeks, giving you that delicious sweet-spicy contrast in every bite.
