One Pan Creamy Garlic Mushroom Lasagne Recipe | One Pan Wonder

One-pan creamy garlic mushroom lazy lasagne made with cream cheese, stock and melted cheese – an easy comfort food recipe with no layering and minimal washing up!

If you’re craving comfort food but don’t have the time (or energy) for a traditional layered bake, this one-pan creamy garlic mushroom lazy lasagne is about to become your new go-to dinner. Packed with rich garlicky flavour, tender chestnut mushrooms, silky cream cheese sauce and perfectly cooked lasagne sheets, this easy mushroom lasagne recipe delivers all the cosy indulgence of classic lasagne with a fraction of the effort and washing up.

Everything is cooked in a single pan, making it ideal for busy weeknights, low-effort weekends and anyone who loves quick creamy pasta recipes without compromising on taste.

This creamy mushroom lasagne is made with simple ingredients you likely already have in your fridge and cupboards – onion, garlic, mushrooms, vegetable stock, reduced-fat cream cheese and broken lasagne sheets that cook directly in the sauce.

One Pan Creamy Garlic Mushroom Lasagne Recipe | One Pan Wonder

The result is a one-pot pasta dish that’s rich, comforting and satisfying, yet lighter than a traditional white sauce lasagne thanks to the use of cream cheese instead of heavy cream. It’s a brilliant vegetarian lasagne alternative that still feels indulgent, cheesy and deeply savoury.

Because the pasta simmers straight in the garlic mushroom sauce, it absorbs all that flavour as it cooks, creating a thick, velvety coating on every piece of lasagne. Finished with a generous layer of melted cheese, this lazy lasagne recipe is perfect for when you want a quick creamy dinner, an easy family meal, or a cosy meat-free comfort food option.

Whether you’re searching for one-pan meals, creamy mushroom pasta, vegetarian lasagne recipes or simple weeknight dinners, this creamy garlic mushroom lazy lasagne ticks every box for flavour, ease and pure comfort.

Can I use fresh lasagne sheets instead of dried?

Yes! Fresh lasagne sheets will cook faster, so check for doneness after 6–8 minutes and add a splash more stock if needed to keep it saucy.

Can I make this lazy lasagne vegan?

Absolutely. Swap the cream cheese for a plant-based cream cheese, use vegan stock, and top with dairy-free grated cheese or nutritional yeast.

What mushrooms work best for this recipe?

Chestnut mushrooms give a deep, earthy flavour, but you can also use button mushrooms, portobello, or a mixed wild mushroom selection.

How do I stop the pasta sticking together?

Stir once or twice while it simmers and make sure the broken lasagne sheets are fully submerged in the sauce.

Can I add protein?

Yes – crispy bacon, pancetta, shredded chicken, or plant-based chicken pieces all work well stirred in after the mushrooms.

Is this recipe freezer-friendly?

It’s best enjoyed fresh, but you can freeze it. Thaw completely and reheat gently with a splash of milk or stock to loosen the sauce.

Can I make it extra creamy?

For a richer finish, stir in a splash of double cream or a knob of butter just before adding the cheese on top.

It has everything you love about crispy shredded beef from your favourite takeaway, but it is made at home using simple ingredients and beef mince. It is faster, cheaper, and still incredibly satisfying.

The leeks soften and turn beautifully sweet, balancing the savoury depth of the sausages, while herbs like thyme add warmth and aroma. Yes, this casserole is perfect for making ahead. Let it cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the hob or in the microwave until piping hot.

You can freeze it, but cream-based sauces can slightly change texture. For best results, freeze for up to 2 months, thaw overnight in the fridge, and reheat slowly while stirring.

This dish pairs beautifully with mashed potatoes, crusty bread, rice, or buttered new potatoes. Steamed greens or peas make a great side.

Can I add extra vegetables?

Absolutely. Mushrooms, spinach, peas, or carrots all work well and add extra nutrition and colour to the dish.

Easy chicken doner kebab fakeaway recipe

This is a lighter, homemade chicken döner kebab inspired by Mezze Mike’s thin-press baking paper method. Rolling the mince ultra-thin gives you that classic shaved kebab texture, while the yoghurt and spices keep it juicy and flavour-packed.

Scroll down for full recipe and instructions!

Homemade Chicken Doner Kebab Recipe

After recreating Mezze Mike’s lamb döner at home and being way too impressed with myself, I knew I had to try the method again—this time with chicken. If you’ve ever thought homemade kebabs couldn’t possibly hit the same way as a takeaway… this fakeaway recipe is here to prove you very wrong.

What completely sold me was Mezze Mike’s genius technique of rolling the mince between two sheets of baking paper and getting it as thin as humanly possible. No rotisserie, no fancy equipment—just thin, even kebab meat that bakes quickly and slices up just like the real thing. Honestly, it’s one of those “why haven’t I always done this?” moments.

This homemade chicken doner kebab recipe is one of my favourite fakeaways because it delivers everything you love about a takeaway kebab, but made at home with simple ingredients. The chicken is juicy, boldly spiced, and packed with flavour, making it perfect for stuffing into warm pittas, wraps, or bowls. If you’re looking for an easy chicken doner kebab at home, this recipe is quick, affordable, and far lighter than a takeaway version. It’s ideal for busy weeknights, meal prep, or when you want a comforting fakeaway chicken doner without leaving the house.

Easy chicken doner kebab fakeaway recipe

Why You’ll Love This Homemade Chicken Doner Kebab

For my chicken version, I wanted loads of flavour without it feeling heavy, so I went in with blended red onion, fat-free Greek yoghurt, lemon juice, and a mix of warm, classic kebab spices. The key step here is really working the mince, stirring and pressing it down for a good five minutes until everything binds together properly. It might feel like effort, but this is what gives you that proper döner texture instead of crumbly chicken mince.

Once it’s rolled super thin between the baking paper, it only needs about 15 minutes in the oven, which makes it perfect for quick dinners or meal prep.

Slice it up, stuff it into warm pittas, drown it in garlic sauce or chilli sauce (or both, always both), and suddenly you’re eating like it’s kebab night—but homemade.

This one’s lighter, high in protein, ridiculously easy, and honestly dangerous because you’ll want to make it all the time. Homemade takeaway vibes

Easy chicken doner kebab fakeaway recipe

 How to Serve

Stuff into warm pitta or flatbreads

Add shredded lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and cucumber

Finish with garlic yoghurt, chilli sauce, or tzatziki

Great for meal prep—reheats beautifully in a pan or air fryer

Can you make chicken doner kebab without a rotisserie?

Yes, this recipe is designed to be made at home without special equipment. The chicken is cooked in a pan or oven to recreate the classic doner texture and flavour.

What cut of chicken is best for chicken doner kebab?

Chicken thighs work best as they stay juicy and tender, but chicken breast can also be used for a leaner option.

Is homemade chicken doner kebab healthy?

Yes, making chicken doner kebab at home allows you to control the ingredients, reduce oil, and avoid additives found in takeaways.

Can I meal prep chicken doner kebab?

Absolutely. The cooked chicken keeps well in the fridge and is perfect for quick lunches or dinners throughout the week.

one pan lazy lasagne easy weeknight dinner

This is the ultimate chuck-it-all-in, no-layering-required lasagne. One pan, big flavours, very little washing up!

Some days call for comfort food, but not the effort that usually comes with it, and that’s exactly where this one-pan lazy lasagne comes in. It has all the rich, hearty flavours of a classic lasagne, without the layering, the oven time, or the mountain of washing up. You all LOVED my One Pan Chicken & Broccoli Lasagne, and this recipe is the same vibe but with the classic lasagne.

Everything cooks together in one pan, making it perfect for busy weeknights, low-energy days, or when you just want something warming and satisfying with minimal fuss.

The base starts with sweet red onions and colourful peppers, gently fried until soft and fragrant, then boosted with plenty of garlic for that essential savoury depth.

Using lean 5% beef mince keeps things lighter without sacrificing flavour, while a crumbled beef stock cube melts straight into the sauce, giving it that slow-cooked richness in a fraction of the time. Passata forms the backbone of the dish, thinned with a little water so the sauce is loose enough to cook the pasta directly in the pan.

one pan lazy lasagne easy weeknight dinner

Instead of carefully layered sheets, the dried lasagne is simply broken up and pressed down into the sauce, where it softens and absorbs all those herby, tomato-rich flavours as it simmers.

A sprinkle of mixed herbs, a touch of paprika, and a splash of balsamic vinegar add warmth, balance, and just a hint of sweetness that makes the whole dish taste far more indulgent than it actually is.

To finish, the lasagne is topped with a generous layer of reduced-fat béchamel and a handful of reduced-fat cheese, then popped under the grill until bubbling and lightly golden.

The result is a cosy, spoonable lasagne-style dish that delivers maximum comfort with minimal effort – proof that proper comfort food doesn’t need to be complicated. Perfect straight from the pan, ideally enjoyed in comfy clothes, and even better as leftovers the next day.

How long does one pan lazy lasagne take to cook?

This lazy lasagne usually takes around 30 to 40 minutes from start to finish, making it ideal for busy weeknights.

Can I make one pan lazy lasagne vegetarian?

Yes, you can easily swap the mince for lentils, mushrooms, or a plant-based alternative for a vegetarian version.

What pasta works best for lazy lasagne?

Broken lasagne sheets work best, but any short pasta like penne or rigatoni will also work well.

Can one pan lazy lasagne be reheated?

Yes, leftovers reheat well and make a great next-day lunch. Add a splash of water when reheating to loosen the sauce.

One Pan Lazy Lasagne Recipe | Weeknight Meal

I didn’t start streaming in 2025 because I had everything figured out. I started because I was at a low point in my life, and wanted to try something I'd always wanted to do but just never had the confidence.

This post contains gifted content, but all thoughts are honest and my own.

At the time, life felt small and heavy. I was at a low point emotionally, craving connection but unsure where to find it. Gaming had always been a comfort for me, so hitting “go live” felt like a quiet act of hope more than a bold career move. I didn’t expect much, maybe a few familiar usernames, maybe just the comfort of not being alone in my own thoughts.

What happened next still amazes me.

Little by little, a community formed. Not just viewers, but people. I began building a Discord space centred around girl gamers and supportive allies, a place that felt safe, welcoming, and genuinely kind. It became somewhere you could show up exactly as you are, whether you were cracked at the game or just there to chat and unwind. Watching friendships grow there, alongside my own confidence, has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.

On TikTok, the growth surprised me even more. Almost 9,000 followers now, people who laugh with me, laugh at me, hype me up, and remind me daily that authenticity really does resonate. Twitch followed in its own way too, slower but steady, with familiar faces becoming regulars and regulars becoming friends.

As a streamer, I bring my full self to every broadcast, chaotic aim, big laughs, and even bigger energy. On SugarPinkLatoyah, I mostly dive into FPS games like Fortnite alongside nostalgic throwbacks like Tomb Raider, blending action-packed gameplay with genuine, unfiltered moments that reflect who I am both on and off the controller.

My streams are a space where unpredictability is part of the fun, whether that’s clutch plays, hilarious fails, or genuinely heartfelt chats with the squad. ADHD-fuelled enthusiasm, community jokes, spontaneous dances, and plenty of “did that really just happen?” moments have become part of the SugarPinkLatoyah vibe, and that’s exactly why people choose to hang out, play, and just be themselves with me live.

One moment that really made everything feel real was collaborating with Neon Daddy. They created the most incredible custom neon name sign for my setup, and it honestly stopped me in my tracks when I first saw it lit up on stream.

It wasn’t just décor, it was validation. A visual reminder that this thing I started during a lonely, uncertain chapter of my life had grown into something tangible, creative, and worth investing in. Every time it glows behind me on stream, it reminds me how far I’ve come and how proud I’m allowed to be of this journey.

One of the wildest moments of this journey was spending 69 hours trying to land a single trick on Skate. What started as pure stubbornness turned into something so much bigger! The lives took off, pulling in over 100,000 viewers, with people checking back in, cheering me on, and genuinely rooting for me to land it.

Every failed attempt somehow made everyone more invested, and the encouragement kept me pushing when I probably would’ve quit on my own. When I finally stuck the trick, the celebration felt communal, and seeing Skate themselves comment on the post was unreal. It was one of those moments that reminded me how powerful shared determination and community support can be, even over something as simple (and chaotic) as a virtual skateboard trick.

But the numbers and brand collabs aren’t the heart of this story.

The heart is the people I’ve met. The friends I now get to hang out with and play alongside. The community game nights filled with chaos, laughter, and inside jokes. The late-night chats that remind you you’re not alone, even when life gets messy.

Streaming helped me find my voice again. It gave me the confidence to stop shrinking myself and just be me, loud, soft, awkward, silly enthusiastic, honest. All of it.

I started streaming because I felt lonely. I keep streaming because I found connection, joy, and a version of myself I genuinely like. And that, more than anything, is what 2025 gave me.

Join me on my streaming journey!

One-Pan French Onion Pasta Recipe | Healthy Dinner Idea

A cosy one-pan French onion pasta inspired by classic French onion soup. Caramelised onions, white wine, beef stock, pasta and a creamy, cheesy finish with crispy breadcrumbs.

This one-pan French onion pasta recipe is the ultimate cosy dinner idea that brings all the rich flavour of French onion soup into a comforting pasta dish. With slow-caramelised onions, a savoury beef stock base, and a creamy, cheesy finish, this recipe cooks entirely in one pan for minimal washing up. Perfect for easy weeknight cooking or cosy weekend meals.

If you love the deep, rich flavours of French onion soup, this one-pan French onion pasta is about to become your new comfort-food obsession.

It takes everything we adore about the classic soup, slow-caramelised onions, savoury beef stock, a hint of white wine and that irresistible cheesy topping, and transforms it into a creamy, satisfying pasta dish that’s perfect for busy weeknights or cosy weekends.

French onion soup has a long history rooted in humble ingredients. Traditionally, it’s made by slowly cooking onions until they become sweet, golden and deeply flavourful, then simmering them in a rich stock and finishing with bread and melted cheese on top.

The magic of the dish lies in patience: properly caramelised onions aren’t rushed. They’re coaxed into sweetness over time, developing layers of flavour that feel far more indulgent than the ingredient list suggests.

One-Pan French Onion Pasta Recipe | Healthy Dinner Idea

This pasta recipe borrows that same philosophy. The onions are the star, and taking the time to caramelise them properly is the single most important step.

Cook them low and slow, stir occasionally, and don’t be afraid of colour, the darker they go, the more flavour you’ll get.

Deglazing the pan with white wine lifts all those caramelised bits from the bottom, adding acidity and depth that balances the sweetness of the onions beautifully.

Cooking the pasta directly in beef stock keeps everything in one pan and allows the starch from the pasta to naturally thicken the sauce.

This means no separate pots, less washing up, and a sauce that clings to every bite. Stirring through cream cheese (or cream) at the end adds richness and silkiness without overpowering the onion flavour.

To finish, a topping of crushed breadcrumbs or breadsticks and melted cheese pays homage to the iconic cheesy toast that crowns French onion soup.

Popping the pan under the grill creates a golden, bubbly crust that adds texture and makes the dish feel extra special.

Tips & tricks for success:

Be patient with the onions. Rushing them will give you soft onions, not caramelised ones.

Stir the pasta frequently while it cooks to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.

Taste before seasoning; beef stock can vary in saltiness.

Use a cheese that melts well for the topping — Gruyère is classic, but cheddar or mozzarella works beautifully too.

This is comfort food at its best: simple ingredients, big flavour, and minimal effort, all in one pan.

Can you make this vegetarian?

To make this dish vegetarian, the beef stock can be easily substituted without losing that rich, savoury depth. Use a good-quality vegetable stock, ideally one that’s darker and more robust rather than a light, watery broth. Stocks made with mushrooms, roasted vegetables, or caramelised onions work especially well here, as they echo the umami notes you’d normally get from beef stock.

For extra depth, you can boost the flavour with a small splash of soy sauce, tamari, or Marmite, or add a pinch of dried thyme or bay leaf while the pasta cooks.

These additions help recreate the savoury backbone that makes French onion–style dishes so comforting. With the sweet caramelised onions doing most of the heavy lifting, a well-seasoned vegetable stock still delivers a cosy, satisfying result — perfect for a meat-free version that doesn’t feel like a compromise.

What makes French onion pasta different from regular pasta?

French onion pasta uses deeply caramelised onions, savoury stock, and cheese to mimic the flavour of French onion soup in a creamy one-pan pasta dish.

Can I make this vegetarian?

Yes, replace beef stock with high-quality vegetable stock and boost umami with mushrooms or soy sauce.

How long does it take to caramelise onions?

Caramelising onions properly takes about 30–40 minutes and is key to developing the rich flavour of this dish.

Can I use other pasta types?

Short tubular pastas like rigatoni or fusilli work well, but feel free to experiment as long as you adjust cooking time.
