A delicious Slimming World Friendly Curry Recipe, King Prawn Tikka Masala Curry.
This is such a delicious King Prawn Curry that is as simple to make as it is tasty.
So while I am sat in lockdown in the UK, I guess there are a few positives that I can take from these times. While all shops have been emptied of most meat and veg, one thing that was left in my local shop was king prawns.
I would never usually buy raw prawns, but as there was literally nothing else available, I thought I would give a prawn curry a go!

I have lots of curry recipes on my site, but I wanted to keep this one as simple as possible with the very limited ingredients that are on offer.
I had to use frozen onions when I made this dish, because I couldn't get hold of any fresh onions!

Prawn Masala Curry Recipe

You will need:
150g raw king prawns
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 clove garlic
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
Juice of 1 lemon
1 dried chilli, or a pinch of flakes (adjust the spice to taste)
½ tsp turmeric
Fresh coriander to serve
Cooked rice to serve

2.5cm piece root ginger, grated
1st dried coriander1 tin of chopped tomatoes
Juice of 1 lemon
1 dried chilli, or a pinch of flakes (adjust the spice to taste)
3 tbsp curry powder
1 tsp ground cumin½ tsp turmeric
Fresh coriander to serve
Cooked rice to serve
Method:
Add the onion, garlic, ginger, coriander, chilli flakes, cumin, turmeric and curry powder to a frying pan over medium heat, Spray with some low-calorie cooking spray.
Add the tomatoes and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for approx 10 minutes until the sauce is thickened and reduced.
Stir the prawns into the curry and cook until pink, then season with lemon juice.
Sprinkle over some fresh coriander to serve, and serve with rice or veg of your choice.
