Hot Honey Pigs in Blankets Mac & Cheese Recipe | Christmas Recipe
If you’ve been around here a while, you’ll know I have a soft spot for anything creamy, comforting and just a little bit indulgent – and my original Hot Honey Mac & Cheese is still one of my all-time most-loved recipes.
This year, though, I wanted to give it a festive twist, something fun and a bit cheeky that brings all the cosy Christmas flavours together in one dish. And honestly? This Hot Honey Pigs in Blankets Mac & Cheese might just be my favourite version yet.

I mean, pigs in blankets are already the star of any Christmas plate (I don’t make the rules), so folding them into a smoky, lightly spiced cheese sauce and topping the whole thing with extra crispy, pre-cooked pigs in blankets felt like the natural next step.
Add a drizzle of hot honey for that perfect balance of sweet heat, and you’ve got the kind of dish that makes the whole room go quiet for a second… before someone asks for seconds.
What I love most about this recipe is how easy it is to make lighter without losing any of the comfort. Using skimmed milk and reduced-fat cheese still gives you a sauce that’s silky, rich and full of flavour, while smoked paprika and mustard cut through with warmth and depth.
It’s everything you want from a festive mac – cosy, irresistible and just that little bit extra.
This is a brilliant option for Christmas Eve, a post-shopping pick-me-up, or even a fun twist on leftovers if you somehow have pigs in blankets hanging around (unlikely, but possible!). However you serve it, it’s guaranteed to bring joy, comfort and a tiny bit of chaos – in the best way.
