Garlic & Herb Chicken Strips Recipe | Slimming Friendly

This is a super simple, easy, tasty low calorie chicken strips recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 slices wholemeal bread
  • Pinch salt and pepper
  • Pinch of paprika
  • Pinch of Italian herb mix
  • 1 clove garlic, finely diced (or can use lazy garlic or garlic granules)
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • Low calorie cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  2. Cut the chicken breasts into thin strips, lengthways along the breast
  3. Crack the egg into a bowl and whisk
  4. Blitz the bread in a blender until it becomes breadcrumbs
  5. Add pinch of salt and pepper, paprika, Italian herbs and the garlic to the breadcrumbs, mix well
  6. Add the breadcrumbs to a bowl
  7. Dip the chicken strips in the egg mix, then into the breadcrumbs
  8. Repeat until all the strips are covered
  9. Lay the strips on out on a baking tray, then spray with low calorie cooking spray
  10. Cook for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through
