Oat Bran Pancake by Dukan
The Dukan Diet is a revolutionary weight loss plan that has taken the world by storm. It is made up of a 4 Phase diet that gives you 2 steps to lose the weight and 2 steps to keep it off forever! This is healthy eating where you eat "as much as you like" of 100 foods to prevent starvation and frustration. It is a a low carb diet plan for healthy and successful weight loss introduced by nutritionist Dr. Pierre Dukan.
If you've kicked off 2014 with a plan to lose weight you don’t need to give up your resolve on Shrove Tuesday thanks to Dr Dukan’s revolutionary pancake recipe that’s fuss-free, fat-free and fast. This healthier version is tasty and guilt free! Here is the recipe to make them from scratch, but the nice people from Dunkan have also sent me a box of their pre made pancake mix to use, making it even easier!
You will need:-
Whisk the egg whites until stiff, and work them into the mixture.
Once mixed thoroughly, pour the mixture into a warm non-stick frying pan, greased with a few drops of oil.
Cook on a medium heat for 2-3 mins on each side.
This is their pancake mix, along with their hazelnut chocolate spread, which in a blind taste taste is very difficult to tell the difference between that and a normal chocolate spread that is full of sugar and fat.
The pancakes themselves are very oaty and have a wholemeal taste, similar to a breakfast cereal. The taste is not unpleasent and it is very filling. Read more about he Dukan diet and their products here
