Recipe: Slow Cooker Sticky BBQ pulled Chicken

I have said before how much I love my slow cooker, preparing my meals before I go to work and coming home to a delicious smell and a meal ready to serve.  I made this BBQ sticky chicken the first time the other day and it was incredible, if I do say so myself.  Sticky, pulled and succulent chicken that I served in a wrap with cheese.

You will need:-

120g ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
Salt and pepper
1 Red Onion Sliced
500g Chicken Breasts

In a small saucepan over medium heat, stir together the ketchup, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, hot sauce, garlic, mustard powder and salt. Bring to a simmer, then remove from heat and allow to cool slightly

Chop your red onion and place at the bottom of your slow cooker.

Put the breasts on top of the onions and pour the BBQ sauce over the top.

Leave on high for 4 hours, or low for 6 hours.

Once ready the sauce will have reduced and cooked into the chicken, used 2 forks to pull the chicken and shred it and mix in with onions and any left over sauce.

I served mine in a tortilla wrap with some cheese- delicious!
