Review: Le Cygne Dawlish

Le Cygne is the hotly-anticipated new venture from the former manager of the Darts Farm Restaurant, Souhela Berry, and her husband Mark. Located in the heart of Dawlish on The Strand, overlooking the green where the famous Dawlish Black Swan frequents, it is the perfect location to enjoy delicious food and some people watching!

This is Souhela's first independent venture, after running the helm at Darts Farm Restaurant for 16 years. Le Cygne combines Melbournes trendy cafes scenes, French sophistication and local Devon produce.

I spotted one of my favourite things on the menu, a Charcuterie Board! Packed with local Devon produce, ham, cheese and salad, it not only looked amazing but also tasted amazing. The perfect portion size for 1 person!

My boyfriend had a toasties with salami. It was served with a sublime salad and a few crisps, great for a light bite. The toastie was made perfectly without any soggy bread in sight!

There was a really lovely atmosphere with a traditional cafe feel. There was a selection of delicious looking cakes and treats at the font that we were drooling over. If only we had more room after our Brunch!
