Review: Gousto Recipe Kit

I love anything that encourages people to cook from scratch at home.  There are loads of different recipe kit boxes out there, and I was recently sent a Gousto box to try out for myself.

The box is completely customisable and allows you to pick 3 meals from the weeks menu. It comes with everything you need to create the dishes, in perfectly measured portions, for as little as £6.87 per sering.

Sausage Burger and Sweet Onion Mayo

Part sandwich, part burger, these pork and leek sausages have been transformed into patties and served with a sweet onion marmalade mayo and little gem salad to complete this banging' hybrid.

The instructions were really easy to follow and made a delicious dish.

Rosemary Lamb Meatballs with Mint Sauce

This hearty plateful encompasses all the classic flavours of a Sunday roast lamb but is designed for speed. Our garlic and rosemary-studded meatballs are made in moments, our potatoes are sliced for quick roasting and we'll show you how easy it is to make a fresh mint sauce. A rapid roast for the ravenous!

I got Nick to make this dish, as if he can make it, anyone can. It turned out really well and made a proper hearty dish.  I was just sad that there wasn't more!

Spanish Chicken & Chorizo Paella

This delicious seafood-free version of the Spanish one-pot national dish boasts chicken, salty chorizo, red pepper and black olives. Tied together with fresh parsley, smoked paprika and fresh orange to garnish, which delivers a little sweetness. A great dish for feeding a crowd...
