Recipe- Mozzarella Stuffed Pork Ball

In my May Degustabox there was some tomato passata, tomato purée and some pasta.  I was inspired by these ingredients to make mozzarella stuffed pork balls in a rich and tasty tomato sauce


You will need:- 

8 Cumberland Sausages
1 ball mozzarella
1 pot Cirio Passata
1 tablespoon of Cirio Tomato Purée
Salt & Pepper
1 Clove Garlic
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 onion, diced
Garofalo Pasta


Method:-

Remove the skin from the sausages, put the sausage meat in a bowl and mix

Chop the mozzarella into small chunks to go in the middle of the balls.

Shape the sausage meat into a small patty in your hand. Put mozzarella in the middle and fold the meat around to form a ball.  Repeat until all the meat has been used.

Fry the balls of in a large frying pan to brown them off, then place into an oven dish and put cooked for 15 minutes.

Fry the onions and garlic off in the frying pan, add the passata, tomato purée and paprika and simmer.  Pour over the meatballs for the last 10 minutes of cooking time

Cook the pasta, then put the meatballs on top to serve, you should have oozing and delicious pork balls!
